Southend snap up West Ham starlet on loan

West Ham striker Elliot Lee has joined Southend United on loan until the end of January.
The young striker has been in fine form for West Ham's Under-21s this season, netting five goals in seven appearances.
That form led to interest from several lower league clubs, but Southend have now stolen a march on their rivals and secured the 19-year-old's services.
Lee will link up with the Shrimpers until 31st January and manager Phil Brown will be hoping he can aid their promotion push.
Southend currently sit ninth in League Two, sixth points off the automatic promotion places.
