Beckenbauer hints at Bayern Munich move for Khedira

Arsenal and Chelsea target Sami Khedira would be a perfect signing for Bayern Munich according to the club's honorary president, Franz Beckenbauer.

Khedira, who has one year remaining on his current contract, has been heavily linked with a move away from Real Madrid this summer.

Arsenal and Chelsea are both reportedly interested, but Bayern have joined the race following the news that Javi Martinez will miss the entire season with a knee injury.

Club legend Beckenbauer has now intensified rumours linking former Stuttgart man Khedira to the club by stating that he would be a brilliant addition for the Bundesliga champions.

"Khedira would function well in any team. At Bayern Munich he would function well," Beckenbauer told Bild.
